Specialty Services
Help Me Grow Pediatric Rehab Services' philosophy is ensuring that children have access to the appropriate services to meet their needs. Therefore, we have developed successful relationships with a number of community providers to provide the following specialty services.
Aquatics Therapy
Help Me Grow provides aquatics therapy through the Dover Parks and Recreation Department in their indoor pool. In the summertime, we provide these services in a wide variety of community areas including local ponds, pools and ocean.
Hippotherapy (Horseback riding therapy)
Help Me Grow provides Hippotherapy in collaboration with Paradis Farm in Dover, NH. Chris Paradis is the NH Special Olympics Therapeutic Riding Coordinator and she is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Our goal is to provide physical and occupational therapy-based riding to build balance, strengthening, coordination, and sensory acceptance all while improving confidence, self-esteem, responsibility, and socialization. Ultimately the success of hippotherapy can enable a child to graduate to therapeutic riding with Chris where they will learn to be more independent in their riding skills and perhaps participate in the Special Olympics.
Infant Services
Help Me Grow provides a wide range of services to newborns and infants. Identifying challenges early and intervening immediately is essential to make sure a baby gets off on the best developmental path. Whether it be a challenge with feeding, a tightness in a baby's neck or flattening of the head on one side, or even if a caregiver has any questions or concerns about if an infant may or may not be doing something they suspect is unusual, it is always best to have it checked. Our infant experts can evaluate, treat and refer to the appropriate resources to ensure your baby will receive the best care ever.
Equipment Clinic
Help Me Grow works closely with several Durable Medical Equipment (DME) vendors. When a child needs equipment, adapted tools, supports, mobility devices, feeding chairs, bath equipment or more, it is important to have a PT or OT provide the skilled input in collaboration with families and equipment specialists to make sure that the items identified will be the safest, most appropriate and highest quality that your child deserves.
Orthotics and Prosthetics (O & P)
Help Me Grow works closely with a number of O & P providers who have extensive experience and knowledge about pediatric care. Our Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapist's have expertise in working with these specialists to guarantee that each child will benefit from the types of supports necessary whether it be specialized hand splints due to injury or paralysis, trunk supports due to scoliosis or posture, lower extremity supports such as foot, ankle or full leg orthotics to enable a child to walk or walk better. Our O & P providers have the flexibility to come to your home, our office or you can go to their locations, to ensure the most optimal experience for you child and family.
Assistive Technology
Help Me Grow has the expertise to support all aspects of your child's technology needs. Our Occupation Therapists and Physical Therapists have the expertise to provide your family with the supports you need. Whether the need is for minor adaptations to make life easier such as modified utensils, adapting switches for improved play or communication, or augmenting materials to existing items to make them easier to use; or to provide more complicated actions such as providing supports for augmentative communication devices onto a wheelchair, adapting the home, etc., our team is here to assist in making sure that your child has the best opportunity to access their world and caregivers have the knowledge and resources they need to ensure your child's success.
